Why do you guy make your railcars in CHINA?
As an engineer, it was fantastic to be able walk out to the shop, see our designs come to life and learn from a very seasoned production and QA team. Working at the Gunderson plant was a formative experience and convinced me of the criticality for engineering and production to work hand-in-hand. It will be sad to see the Gunderson name disappear from NW Front Avenue after nearly 104 years of history (82 years of roughly continuous operation at the 4350 address). Awesome place to work for. Managers in my department understands and helps a lot of their employees.
Terrible place business wise meet good coworkers to take with you when this place fires u. Because they will and make up non existent reasons. Sad but they will will eventually close down once they get sued enough.
