If you have a loved one with cancer please don’t take them here, if it’s your only option, advocate for yourself. Deeply disappointed and heartbroken with the care my dad received here. After his cancer returned in 2023, we were referred to Madison for a “surgery consult.” We waited weeks for that appointment, only to be told he wasn’t a surgical candidate and was sent back to La Crosse. Beware of the new eye surgery doctor, Dr. Funk. He absolutely ruined my eyes, and the hospital will not do anything about it! I literally have to carry around 4 different strengths of cheater glasses to see. I can not even watch TV eleven feet away. I can now see super far away, but nothing within 11 feet, I'm blind. I'm warning, do not get Lasik from Dr Funk at Gundersen lutheran! They said they would do free touch ups or enhancements for the first year and yet he refuses to do any touch-ups or enhancements to fix my eyes.
