Oral surgery department is scheduling 2 years out. They don't leave room for emergencies in the schedule. And 3 times I talked on the phone, they lack compassion, and would not let me explain my chronic illness. They simply talked over me. Empathy, compassion and patience could go a long way.
My husband had a Colonoscopy today and waited two hours to get his procedure when his appointment was at 8 am we got in after 10. The provider never followed up with us even after waiting for 2 hours to be seen. A person who did not perform the colonoscopy reported the results in a very poor manner. it is all about going on to the next person to bring the dollars. I was scheduled for a procedure yesterday . I had to be there there at 10:00, which i was, got checked in, prepared for surgery and waited and waited, and waited. I understand surgeries can go longer than anticipated, there can be complications and I'm not faulting the surgeon nor the staff. At 3 or 3:30 my driver had to leave,but I was not allowed to go with my driver. I was told I couldn't leave and still had the IV in me.
