RecommendedAwesome customer service. We went in looking for a specific pistol for conceal carry for my wife. After a couple hours of going over the pros and cons of several different models, we walked out with something different, that was a better fit! Thanks to Calvin and Alex for all of their help and patience. Also a fun place to shop with a small store feel including a bit of joking and ribbing.

Academy who?? I walked into Gun Shack a couple days ago and saw a pistol I had be looking for, for quite a while. Alex and his crew knew everything there was to know about everything in the store. And this store is STACKED with inventory. Best selection I’ve seen! Definitely will be back when the wife stops cussing me for putting more steel in the inventory!
Easily the best gun store I've ever been to out of the many gun stores I've been to throughout much of Texas and Alabama for the past 10 years! My husband and I became first time gun owners today. Lenny helped us and made sure all of our questions were answered and that he gave us all the information we needed to make a decision on what we type of guns we wanted to purchase. Other staff at the shop also shared with us their thoughts and opinions based on their own experience. We received such great service and we will surely go back!

This place is horrid. I recently retired from the military and moved back home. Needles to say I don’t have a current TX ID and won’t be able to get one until DECEMBER (FUCK CHINA) at the earliest. I call The Gun Shack and they tell me a current passport and CPS letter will work as proof of residency to transfer a weapon I purchased months ago.
