I went to this facility twice once in April2023 to January2024 and another time more recently June2025 to December2025. The first time was a little worse than the second time. The first time there was more riots where kids would fight and destroy property (the kids would instantly regret it once they were held accountable for their actions) the food wasn’t the best back then but it got better the second time I went to this facility. About 25 years ago this was Adolescent Substance Abuse Program. A.S.A.P for short. I lived at that address for 11 months and 28 days and it was for boys then. Also we were inmates there for up to a year. Places like this save lives. It saved me and gave me the happiest memories and pride when I finally made it home. Never give up!
On this day, exactly one year ago, i got on a plane and came to GCTC. When I look back, i know I’m a completely different person then who i was when I first came in those doors. My time here was definitely mixed with chaos and good times, but all of those are reflections of my actions. I did a lot of things that i regret, but the biggest thing I learned while being there is that life moves on and bad days don’t last forever unless you let them.
