He tells you what you need to know and in terms you can understand. Showed me my photos of back. Discussed in great details. My favorite is when he told me that I could not do what I could do at 20! Laser treatments have helped a lot. You have to listen to him and exercise. Yoga helps my back a lot! I highly recommend Dr. Cotler!
Diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis at the age of 50 I was very concerned on what my physical condition could be after receiving opinions from 3 Orthopedic Dr/Groups, which were all different. He helped my friend who was bedridden after a bad procedure. After his care she was able to drive and shop. Excellent care.
Dr. Colter worked with me after a work related auto accident. He was the best and ultra conservative. We went a full year of physical therapy and other treatments before deciding on back fusion surgery. When I woke up in recovery I could tell it was a success. My recovery plan got me in the best shape of my life. I was out walking for exercise within a few weeks, brace and all. Dr Cotler will tell you what you NEED to hear not always what you WANT to hear. Not one to head to surgery and cut on first appt which I appreciated. He truly is a straight shooter. I had to have a second back surgery after the first one 30 years ago. He went to the mat with the insurance company that wanted to send me home right after the surgery. His office staff is professional and his assistant was awesome. I even got an inch back in height. You couldn't ask for a better doc.
