Horrible..denied pain medication for my daughter (while admitted) to manage excruciating pain while waiting for surgery. Related to kidney stones..Didn’t answer phone calls or texts from nurses when needing to authorize antibiotics for an infection as needed before surgery. Finally texted the nurse saying he had signed “off” from the patient even though his shift hadn’t ended.. nurse said he makes things very difficult for everyone.
I'm a live-in caregiver for a person with advanced Parkinson's disease who got pneumonia and was admitted to Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz.As primary caregiver, it fell to me to communicate with the doctors and nurses. Dr. Ramirez was one of the person's doctors. Dr Ramirez explained everything very well and answered all my questions clearly and understandably. He was patient. He seems to be a very good hospitalist with great communication skill and knowledge. I highly recommend Dr Ramirez.
We met Dr. Ramirez when my mom was in the hospital for a major medical issue and was amazing. He spent so much time explaining the procedures and is incredibly partient and generous with his time.
