You know the food will be amazing as soon as you walk in the door, as the scents envelope you. All of the staff was genuinely warm as well as extremely professional. Our appetizers were delicious and impeccable, the salads heaping and fresh. While my chicken, grits and greens were fantastic, I couldn't help but salivate at my friend's steak. And the chocolate porter cake...there are no words... And I know desserts!
I visited Guild for the second time last night. It was another home run! Our server, SL, was so attentive and friendly. Our meals were outstanding too. My caesar salad was crisp and fresh. The wood grilled steak with arugula, roasted garlic with bearnaise was amazing. The whipped potatoes were light and fluffy. I finished off with chocolate stout cake that was to die for, it was rich and heavenly. Can't wait to go back!
Food was delicious. The service was great, they were prompt, friendly, and even clean off your table between courses. I would highly recommend.
The home-made bread was spot on and the Chicken was moist a flavorful. The grits were a bit on the cool side and I could have used more greens but overall the food was good and the beer selection was solid and a good palette cleanser!
The Guild Tavern has become a family after-Thanksgiving tradition for us! Great drinks, appetizers, entrees, desserts and exceptional service! �
Had a wonderful experience here last night, food was excellent & service tops. We had a very large group & the staff went above & beyond to satisfy us. From the cheese plate ( yes even the cheese!) to the butternut squash fritters, to the filet mignon were excellent !! Wasn't inexpensive but great food isn't !! Thank you Guild Tavern!!
we picked this restaurant out of many to share our sisters 40th bday dinner with her. the service was not very good. we waited for a waitress then waited for drinks, took forever to order. the food came out not to long after apps but overall the staff was not very attentive . the prices were kinda high so I expected much better service! the food was ok but again... due to the prices I expected better.
The steak and shrimp was amazing. I'm not a steak fan normally but I was there for a special occasion and decided if I am gonna eat steak I might as well try it from one of the best places around. The shrimp was the best. Perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly and laid in a béarnaise sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly for me. Pink in the middle and a slight crisp on the outside. The atmosphere was quiet and perfect for conversation.
So this WAS my favorite restaurant in Vermont until this past Saturday night.. My boyfriend and I went there for our anniversary dinner. After arguing with our waitress, Samantha, about a drink I knew I ordered there before BECAUSE THEY HAD IT ON THEIR MENU, she finally went to the bartender and had it made.
