Update: CFPB involved someone knowledgeable at Guild to resolve the issue. Guild would benefit from better escalation given that first-line can't be expected to handle complex accounting issues. First-time mortgage, third month, on-time payment — and Guild Mortgage debited our daughter’s account multiple times, misapplied her payment, and now shows it as LATE. Guild: “Digital age challenges” and "waived late fees" don’t fix the real error. What about credit reporting, Guild? CFPB and Texas regulator complaints filed.

I had financed/refinanced multiple investment properties through Gulf several years ago and used to be it was a smooth and satisfying experience. This time around in 2025 was quite the opposite.
