They said they couldn't come out go thru police. Aumblance takes him to another facility with NO physic evaluation. Release him to streets 4 hours latter. System is broke
I am a parent and friend of several former patients that were in crisis who now, in their 20’s and 30’s are stable, productive, wonderful adults. I know it is often thankless and not pretty work, but do know that this amazing staff often saves lives.
You call and ask for someone from crisis to be sent out and are told to call the police. What is crisis for?!? You are supposed to be able to have them come help without calling the police who have no clue what to do in a situation like that. They speak to you like they're too busy planning their weekend to actually do something for people who need assistance with their mental health. Like you bothered them by calling for help with a family member who is having a mental episode. They are a joke but they're not funny at all.
Absolutely horrible. I brought my friend here who was having self harm behaviors and they did not admit her. Instead they sent her home with no plan whatsoever and I guess the HOPE that she doesn’t harm herself over night. Total disgrace of a crisis center. I’m so disgusted and angry that my friend can’t get the help that she is asking for.
