It serves it's purpose for what I need but was turned off at the deli when the worker got mad that she had to slice 4 pounds of mortadella. ..she also cut the salami and pancetta thick.
Love it there!!! Tom and family are genuine and warm. The inventory is so diverse. I look one way and I am in an international market. I look another and I am in my grandparent's kitchens.
Got "The Guercio". Tasty sandwich, even though they forgot my hot peppers. Great little Italian foods store too.
Basically head into the City every other Saturday to visit Guercios. Deli staff is always friendly and accommodating with their many meats, cheeses and freshly made salads. Produce is exceptional all year, and especially when the sidewalk selection opens. Guercios makes for a great trip from the Southtowns everytime.
Great place. Awesome staff. Good prices. Old world feel. Sub sandwiches on point. Try the Guercio sub. It’s amazing!
Wow. I didn't realize that this "friendly neighborhood grocery store" was employing folks who spew racism, calling customers "gorillas," "monkeys," and drawing pictures of animals their food. It's mind-boggling to think that you're located in a neighborhood that's full of people of color, yet your employees are treating folks like absolute trash.
