My experience with Guard.me Insurance has been extremely frustrating. I was automatically opted in through my school and wasn’t given a chance to opt out, so I figured I might as well try to use the benefits I was paying for. That turned out to be a huge mistake. I’ve been waiting months for a simple reimbursement on my claims. Every time I call, I get the same vague response that they’ll “look into it” or “get it sorted,” but nothing ever actually happens. Worst insurance company. DO NOT BUY THEIR POLICY. They are super picky on wording. I had a cramping problem and they said it’s a pre-existing condition LOL. What about a cold? They said it’s a new emergency situation 👍 they tried to make a difficult for you to claim. Regret to buy the policy to make myself suffer from it. Stupid company.
As a physician, this is about one of the worst insurers I have ever dealt with. Except in a life threatening situation, I will not see anyone with their insurance ever again.
I ask anyone who is thinking about getting Guardme, to NOT do it for your own sake. I have been with them through my college, and I have been trying to submit a claim for more than two months now. I have been over the phone with them for hours, their portal just does not work which I would have understood if they tried to help, but they do not.
