A refinance my son initiated in March at the Waukesha branch is still being worked on. And they extended the “lock in rate” from March. How does it take 6 months to refinance? How is the higher rate from March even valid?? Unbelievable!

Buyer beware with Guardian Credit Union. We have been members for over 20 years and they have proven time and time again to have shady practices. Most recently was that we paid off a loan with them in February (paid off the payoff amount, not the principle amount). In April they started sending derogatory information to the credit bureaus stating we had delinquent payments. Incredibly poor customer service. This company has absolutely no compassion.
The change from Visa to Discover debit cards was a horrible one, as many places don't take discover. Advised Guardian that we would be out of the country, but still had a lock put on our card when we tried to use it. Thankfully we had JUST ENOUGH cash to pay the exit fee to go home. Not taking payment for a safe deposit box for 7 YEARS nor notifying us of an issue that ENTIRE TIME. They make it very hard to transfer funds and horrid at being available via phone.

Credit Union is garbage!!
staff is very helpful and pleasant
They keep losing documents I submit, which means multiple trips to their bank, which is currently difficult for me to do. Everytime I call I get different answers and that's if I get an answer to a problem at all. There have been a number of times I've been told "I don't know" with no follow-up. It doesn't seem like the people there are all on the same page when it comes to their own rules and policies.
