Administration seemed to concentrate on profits. Doctor refused some treatment, saying it was beyond comfort-care, that it was life extension. I had a doctor friend so I won these battles, but if I didn't have a hospitalist /gerontologiston call, my loved one would not have received treatment to relieve water around the lungs et al. I am the executive Director at Pasadena Highlands and we have had a great experience with guarantee Hospice, who followed some of our residents at our community and I get good feedback from the residence and their families on their awesome nurses that come out to see them and their compassionate care highly recommend
I retained Guaranteed Hospice when my 98 year-old mother was released from rehab after a hospital stay. My mother lives in an Assisted Living facility and Guaranteed cared for her for six months. The first nurse assigned to the case lasted a couple of weeks. Then the head nurse took over until they could find a replacement. She was excellent. The care of Urgent Help Hospice is deeply appreciated. My oldest sister was given the best care. Compassionate and competent. They are an example of what hospice care should be. A hospice nurse was dedicated to providing hospice care. A social worker was assigned. All of these caregivers were in immediate contact with me and went to see my sister within a day.
