Take forever at discharge and it stinks. The nurses are kind in the ped ward treated my toddler like a princess . Sad they have to work in that stinky environment even they are giving there best.
I went in the ER recently because of a pregnancy bleed and the ER nurses and doctors were very kind and reassuring during my time of panic. The ER discharge staff, however, was extremely rude and lack any sort of empathy. They asked me if it was my first child (which it is) and then proceeded to tell my husband and I to “just try again because we had plenty of time”. The current discharge process and procedures are significantly inefficient. I am currently waiting in the ER after already spending three hours, despite having discussed the discharge summary with the doctor. For military members, please consider alternative options for emergency care, as staff were unclear why this hospital was chosen, given there are other facilities available on the island.
