We discovered this gem of a store 3 years ago while on vacation. Since then we ALWAYS stop in when we are back for their expert advice on where to hike and their high quality gear. This last time Michael & Heather set us up with new hiking boots & water resistant Patagonia pants that worked out perfectly!! Instead of being stuck indoors during several days of not so ideal weather, we were able to hike over 30 miles!! Thank you GSM, your rock stars!!

Wonderful little store in wears Valley. Loved the Kavu bag selection! Got to try the new grab the gold peanut butter and jelly bar. I’m not usually one for “hiking” food, but honesty they’re not bad!

We really enjoyed visiting this outdoor store while we were in the Smokies. They had a great selection of items from footwear to apparel to outdoor items, all great quality. One of the best things about being there, though, was the friendliness of the staff and meeting Michael Shepperd and his wife and having a lengthy conversation about everything from hiking to tubing to all things GSMNP. This shop will definitely be a must stop shop while on our annual vacations!

A small town feel, locally owned hiking and outdoors shop GSM Outfitters is the place to be for those who love the Smokies.
