Definitely not what was expected. Truly not worth the wait or the drive. Absolutely not for someone who has experienced real " soul food " restaurant delight !
Went there to eat but was turned around because they told us they were closing because they were out of food. It was disappointing but we understood. It was a Convention that we were in town for and well over 2000 people attended. Evidently many people either already knew or heard about this meat and 3 and decided to go there to eat that Saturday. You know this food was cooked with love the name says it all REAL COUNTRY COOKING. G's husband was in the front but he also does the place well as far as customer service is concerned I don't give 5stars but this place deserves it
We told them we Google searched authentic southern cooking restaurant and this came up. We absolutely LOVED it! This is our 1st trip to AL. We were so happy to find this place. It did not disappoint. The owner brought us a small plate with about 10-12 samples of their sides. OMG! We loved all of them and then couldn't decide what we liked more.
