My journey with Crohn's Disease began in 2001. Dr. Grunow ran multiple tests and, in the end, had no idea what to do with me. I was 15. Rather than send me elsewhere and admit he had no idea what to do for me, he lobbed pain killers at my naive self until I developed a physical addiction. We stepped me off of them immediately and found a different physician. It's been my greatest hope that I was an isolated case.
