At 81 finally needed a walk in shower to replace the tub. Called the frequent advertisers of "quick and affordable" conversions and/or remodel. The prices were at or above $15,00.00. Remembered Grumpy Old Man Construction advertised in the monthly fliers. Gave them a call and they provided a fixed price of one third the others. His estimate was 25% lower than 3 others. Very knowledgable, and looks for reasonable fixes and preventions as opposed to selling you an upgrade. Demo'd and replaced a 9x8 floor in less than a day. Will absolutely use again and recommend to friends.
The process to set up an appointment went well. Afterwards they were very unprofessional. I pasted a text that I've sent them because I couldn't get ahold of anyone. The text covers what happened. "Our appointment was set for today at 4:45pm. The Handyman arrived unannounced (no call, no text) at 3:00pm. My wife and I work. The babysitter was home alone with our child.
