So, I hear change is good?... No more darts, no more TV"s, and now my Pub Pass doesn't work.....I'm a regular (4 x a week since 2014) because of Ringling. I was excited for food, except it's only after 8pm?... FML... I'm open to suggestions for a good new local happy place...
Great original artists. Great drinks. Fun bartenders and staff. Always a good time and always diverse crowd of people.

Growlers has always been my local art school pub. I've heard many bands here over the years. I'm really loving the addition of SOAP showcasing Sarasota 's original music scene. It's so cool to hear what comes out of the minds and fingers of musicians that are stuck playing the same old cover songs night after night. Sarasota should encourage this venue. That's what Sarasota is supposed to be about~original art ~original music.
Growers Pub offers two things that I desire in a bar: a selection of cold beer and great service.
Growlers is a safe house for community and musical diversity in the SRQ. Long live Growlers!
Excellent sound and a lot of fun. Was able to see Al Doneli ( that's probably spelled wrong but you know) and his friends. Some very tasty original tunes. Only improvement that I would like is better stage lights in stage front. Al was so in the dark , video was difficult and seeing him lay out those great licks was having me wish the colored lights were better up front. 😎

Known of them for 7 years, but took Ship Of Fools to get me to check it out last night. If I were still a Pub guy, and it had been a normal evening, I'd say it's an awesome place with friendly bartenders, chill crowd, not so great location, difficult to spot for the first time and not enough parking. However, because of the amazing tunes, I had an even better time than seeing Robert Cray & Boz Scaggs at the Van Wezel, and I loved them!
