There's a new owner here. Hurray! The previous owner had some serious mental issues and was constantly rude. The new owner removed/organized old inventory and new inventory has been ordered (should arrive shortly). I purchased several plants at clearance prices. The staff was very polite (how refreshing). Hopefully they will fix the entrance and parking lot. Looking forward to returning in the fall.
I'm 2016 I Purchased 15 arborvitae trees and had Growers Outlet plant them, Tried to get replacements ...not even a refund I was treated So badly by the owner (Bill). N all my 56 years I have never been treated so badly by a business or anyone relying on the public for their livelihood Fast forward to today I went in to simply pick up a few annuals I had eight total annuals which cost over $18 when I asked the individual price again the owner (Bill) snatched the plants out of my basket and said "I don't have to buy them, I d... read more

This place is horrible! The plants all look old and unhealthy and the customer service is probably the worst I've ever encountered. The older gentleman that runs the place is so rude and disrespectful. He wouldn't sell us items (concrete statues) that were marked with price tags and snapped at us when we asked why. He said they were for the fountains but yet were no where near the fountains and one of the employees had already told me the cost! After many encounters with the owner that embarrassed me for him I can no longer just let him be. Today the "Gruff old man" actually removed an item from a young Asian couple's cart. When they protested, with the young man using the word "Sir", the bigoted **** old man told the Asian couple that if they didn't like his policies there were other places down the road. The couple were here for 2 hours taking trees from the back to the front trying to get the $ 49.99 price point. I myself told them to stop and the only trees for $ 49.99 were just the ones in the front of the store . For 2 hours this went on . I think **** was controlled concerning this matter. This had to be one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with! First, the parking lot was like a construction zone! Mod, potholes, broken asphalt, rocks, you name it. It was also full of water. Mud holes everywhere! Totally unsafe! Went in because of an ad in the paper. Planned on spending at least $200.Wife asked where the top soil on sale was? The worst customer service ever! too expensive and low quality. The place is a mess.Go shopping anywhere else and you will be OK.
Poor experience. Plants arranged poorly. Muddy trails, high prices. Owner states they have no website, even though That is how we located him. Will not go again.
This place is disorganized, many of the plants are very unhealthy, the prices are not clearly marked (and not all that low) and most of all, the man that I dealt with at the register was the rudest, most obnoxious, verbally abusive person that I've ever encountered in a retail situation! With all the other good nurseries available in the Charlotte area, I highly recommend that you shop at one of them and don't allow yourself to be suckered in by the reviews that try to excuse bad behavior.
