Yikes. The therapists are great but the "estimated total cost" you see is likely wrong on Grow Therapy. I had a good experience when I had BCBS last year but for Aetna this year I was told $20-$30 per appt. Had one that was $148, and one for $280 just for two appointments. The out-of-pocket cost is less than trying to put it through insurance. Health care in america is really sad.
Was initially told appointments would be covered by insurance with no cost to me, lies! Being charged $150 per appointment, can't afford the help I need. Stay away.
The landing page says “mental health made easy. Covered by insurance”. Since I’m a busy mom and professional quick and easy booking is important. I’ve had the same HMO for several years never an issue with verification. The website couldn’t verify my insurance, I made an appt anyway. The social worker I booked with refused to assist me or point me in the right direction. She just said “I don’t know how Grow verifies insurance”. And they make you put a card in to book. Seems suspicious to me.
They charge your credit card without your permission. They will not let you remove a credit card unless you put in a new one. They will not let you use their services without out a credit card. See the pattern. They suck. Beware. If your therapist wants you to use this progam, find a new therapist.
I had no idea who these people are and they are sending me appointment times and dates. How did you even get my info? Please leave me alone scammers!
