Wouldn’t give me my full deposit even though I made sure the apartment, which had cigarette burns in the old carpeting when I first moved in, looked better than it was when I moved in. They also gave my number to other tenants in my building. Had someone in the building who kept texting me to be quiet when no one was even in my apartment.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Take heavy caution before you rent anything from them. No matter how much you like the apartment. See how honest they are and how they treat you. I’ve been living here for less than a year but I’ve had literally the worst service from the managers. The actual technician that comes out and helps with maintainance is super nice. This business practices discrimination. They will refuse applications from certain individuals, and will offer different terms and conditions to different people, namely different income requirements. It is illegal (it goes against the fair housing act Title 42) and whats more than that is that it is incredibly unethical and unprofessional. I recommend you take your business elsewhere as this is a terrible real estate company who does not even obey the law or the professional ethical standards set forth long ago.

I've had mixed experiences with GSM over my 4 years as a tenet. On the one had, they have been gracious with a number of my concerns and maintenance requests, dealing with them in a timely manner. The one exception is a ceiling leak which appears every time there is a heavy rain, and I report it every time. They always say "we will fix it when the roof is dry" and then the leak will appear the next time it rains. This is at most a major inconvenience. I have lived in a unit owned by Grove Street Management for almost a year now and I am moving away. Throughout my entire year, I've had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Everything in my apartment and surrounding areas has been clean, the management responds to my inquiries in a very timely manner, and the team is very friendly. I've not had to submit a maintenance request during my year here, which although that is a good thing, it means I cannot speak for how timely maintenance requests are fulfilled.
