Beware the parking lies. All signs state $10.00 for first three hours. Irritated by new parking charges since Omni took over, but figured part goes to charity, so go with it. there about and hour, pay with a $20, got $5.00 back. Used call for help button, told to come back up to customer service. No, because there is a line backed up a mile long of folks coming to check in. Told to wait where I was, someone coming. 10 minutes--called on phone to hotel. "Someone is coming soon." 30 minutes, security shows up who knows nothing... read more
go see the gingerbread houses during the holidays! – Don't miss the Grove Park Inn during the holidays!
Must stay If your the type of person who worries about "prices" then this is not your place to come. But we only live once and you should go ahead and make reservations and stay! The food at the Grove Park Inn is just absolutely wonderful. Serving a Sunday Brunch that I would gladly pay more if asked. :) Service is wonderful. This is a once in a lifetime place - so go and enjoy.
Beautiful scenery The Grove Park Inn in Asheville NC is truly an elegant and resplendent resort nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina providing world class service with the friendly mannerisms of a small town. When we went there we were greeted by everyone with smiles and polite words and made to feel like we were kings returning to our castle after many years aways abroad. By the end of the our weekend stay, most of the staff knew us by our first names. The rooms are very comfortable, the food exquisitely prepa... read more
Cannot say enough good, wish to stay longer I wish we'd have had more than 4 days here. It really is a lovely hotel. Our suite very comfortably slept 4, and we would have had room to throw a party for about 30 in there. I loved, loved, loved watching the sun sink down between the mountains...really beautiful you could actually count it down while bathed in it's light on the back (heated) outdoor porch. Especially a wonderful experience with an Irish coffee in your hand as well...or whatever from the full bar. The spa was ama... read more
Timeless Before December 2005, the last time I'd been to the Grove Park Inn was twenty years ago. Except for the spa, it seemed as if nothing had changed. And that's a good thing. Unlike the other reviewer, we were in a tiny room with an obstructed view, right next to the spa. Who cares? Who spends time in the room in a resort like this? Plus, just to let you know, in case you are traveling with an infant like we were, the GPI has really nice wooden cribs. And, I think the reason we were given the room we were is that we had... read more
Amazing, simply amazing The best resort I have been to in years. They have the most breathtaking views and courteous staff. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. They also host an amazing gingerbread house exhibit each winter that is a must see. Highly recommended!
Grove Park Inn This was one of the nicest parts about our trip to Asheville. I loved the Grove Park Inn. We stayed in one of the remodeled rooms in the main building and it was beautiful. The lobby is from another time and place with its huge fireplace and rocking chairs. We found a special price on the Internet and the price was great. I can't wait to come back again.
Yummy Spa Day! I loved my day at the spa. Plan on having a whole day to swim in the waterfall pools, have a drink delivered in the jacuzzi, lunch by the fireplace, relaxation in the steam room, sauna and cold plunge. Treat yourself to a massage and then sit by the fire in the secluded and peaceful after-treatment area. Really lovely grotto feel, great for a romantic get away, spa day with your girlfriends or just some peaceful time for yourself.
