The menu is quite straightforward with all the all time favorites like Proscuitto and Bolognese sauce that just takes your breath away. The portions are generous so remember to leave enough room for the dessert which will take you to seventh heaven.

This is a great place if you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a cozy setting. Service was prompt and courteous. Excellent pasta dishes and desert was also delicious; the tiramisu was a bit bland but I would definitely recommend the melting chocolate cake with homemade vanilla bean ice cream you will not be disappointed.

When we walked down the steps into this little Italian restaurant, I didn’t know what to expect. The dimly lit restaurant was inviting and romantic. Grotto has amazing atmosphere. My picky husband and I ate our anniversary dinner here and we both agree - it is the best meal we had ever had together. Our highest points were the fondue and garlic soup but the whole thing was amazing. The molten chocolate cake was great too. Chicken parm and beef tenderloin made for excellent main courses. WOW. I recently went there for my anniversary with my boyfriend and we both loved it! We both got the pre-fixed meals for $36 which was awesome! Loved the ambiance and look of the place as well! Definitely will go back!
Food was amazing. Felt rushed and server wasn’t that nice. Still left a great tip. Will come back but hopefully better service.
My #1 favorite restaurant in Boston. All the food is made in house and you can absolutely tell. The service is consistently fabulous. They could stand to be a little brighter.
