With legends like Frank Sinatra and Robert De Niro having frequented this place, Grotta has always been one of the most popular Italian restaurants in the neighborhood. The 'Blue Grotto' disappeared for six years since its opening over a century ago, however it reopened with renewed vigor again to much fanfare. The multi-level eatery still retains some historic features like the marble and mosaic floors; and its vintage mahogany bar and wine cave stack about 1,600 bottles.

RecommendedFirst time going there. The pizza was phenomenal my daughter and I loved it. Not expensive and the mango mojito was to die for 😋 and the creme brûlée was delicious 😋 must say we will come back again I’ll give 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thickest chicken cutlet I ever had and dry for chicken Francese pasta was good braciole was small and over cooked very dry around edges, potatoes flavorless. 🙁no veal dishes offered on the menu like are you kidding
Delicious meal, reasonably priced- which was very surprising! Lovely atmosphere as well. The Spaghetti Bolognese was meaty and the sauce balanced and smooth. Beef braciole was surprisingly good! My grandparents would have approved. The only complaint- our meal took a little longer than we’d have liked - because we were headed to a show. Otherwise I think we would have enjoyed not being rushed. Try it!
The food was amazing and service was great... Our favorite meal that we had while on family vacation in New York City
