Got a permanent IV port placed. Doctor placed it so deep that breast tissue grew over it. Port was deemed inaccessible and I was forced to switch from infusions to oral medications due to it. In placement, the scar left was so large that it became hypertrophic. During removal, surgeon in Boise said it was the worst placement of a port he had ever seen and was able to help slightly with the scar size, but said I would need a plastic surgeon to fix the appearance fully. The doctor and the experience in the clinic were good. I appreciate the care during the procedure. The problem is that the staff don't know how to code and bill. The nurse didn't code my procedures properly, so I have been getting large bills when everything should have been covered as preventative medicine. I have been calling and asking for help for three weeks and they try to pass off the problem to someone else or say they'll work on it and nothing gets resolved. I had a really good experience. I got in for my appointment super fast and surgery was scheduled that appointment for two weeks later. The shortest wait time I've seen which was super nice. I felt heard and my procedure was explained in detail and all my questions answered. I would recommend.
Dr. Anderson was extremely abrasive and insensitive. Would only recommend seeing him if you’re open to being patronized and dismissed. Otherwise, would avoid at all costs.
