Love everything about this salon - the stylists, the vibe, and the results. Amanda is wonderful with my cuts, trims and coloring. The salon is always clean with plants everywhere, it’s so inviting and calming. Inclusivity and supporting clients is taken very seriously, professionalism with care. Appointments are highly recommended but they do offer walk-in’s too.
I found Grit City Hair (Amanda) when someone on nextdoor recommended her. I moved to Washington just over a year ago, and there was a long dreadful list of connections that needed to be made: doctors, dentists, hairstylists. Gwendolen is so sweet & accommodating! I haven't had a haircut in awhile and I'm always nervous about the judgment that a lot of hair stylists tend to have, but she never made me feel that way. I drove over 30 minutes to come here and it's definitely worth it, I'll be back for my next haircut :)
I absolutely loved the environment when i first walked in!! It was such a cute and welcoming space. My hair was cut by Kidist, who is literally the sweetest person ever. We talked until the very end of my hair being done. I was very pleased with the outcome, and I would love to go back :) #kidistursoslay#girlboss
