Beautifully appointed room with lovely period furniture, genuine welcoming staff, in an historic 250 year old inn well positioned in the heart of historic Essex, CT. The Thursday night entertainment (Cherry Pie Band) was a bonus surprise - awesome band and welcoming followers in attendance. Highly recommend!
The WORST PLACE! The worst place. They don’t help you. They ignore you. It’s like you’re invisible… Or maybe it’s because I’m Mexican and I dared to walk into a place historically for white people? I don’t know, but I felt like a ghost nobody could see or hear me
Our second time staying at The Griswold. Always wonderful staff and a unique experience. We always love getting dinner in the taproom or on the patio. Breakfast in the morning is also great. We will be back again!
It was a spectacular place we ever been to the salmon is delicious and the food is awesome and amazing and this place is very good
The worst experience I have ever had here… no bread, poor service. and a mediocre meal. We should have gone to the Elks!
