The food is okay.. based on reviews I was hyped to try it out. The onion rings were really good. The burgers were mid… nothing special about them at all. The chili fries were so gross. They have a big menu, really wanted to like them because of it but probably won’t be back.
Dave's food is generally good. The inability of the staff to serve what you order, being routinely unreliable, is a huge disappointment. After not getting what I ordered so many times throughout the years, I yearn for a reliable BBQ joint in town and can no longer justify the stop. Dave's simply cannot deliver despite repeated attempts and it doesn't seem to be Dave's fault directly.
Everyone I there was RUDE for got a bunch of our food spent over $70 and my pulled pork Mac was nothing to what it should have been nasty so upset
Great rest stop for our road trip. It's a drive thru but they have a few small tables inside. They've got a good variety of BBQ and ice cream flavors. They were shockingly incredibly fast. The brisket was a bit fatty but very delicious. Come knowing what you want and get out. If you're looking for something delicious and local, Grillin' Dave fits the bill.
