If you're a budget billing customer beware of Griffith Energy. Here's what happened: For the past year my husband and I have been on Griffth's budget billing program which is supposed to allow a customer to pay a monthly charge which will cover their heating oil usage for the calendar year. Griffith set us up paying $199/month which was a good bit higher than the previous year but we bit the bullet and paid it. I have never written a review about a company before and the experience with Griffith has made me feel as though I need to. I also want to preface this review by saying the techs I have interacted with have been pleasant and professional, and the quality of work has never been an issue. My wife and I have been Griffith customers for over 14 years. Might be the company I have had the worst experiences with ever. Avoid like the plague. I had my outside unit replaced by them 6 years ago. Ever since then all I have had is issue after issue with it. I have had multiple technicians from their company come out and look at it and still have issues with it. This company will waste your time over and over again. Took a whole day of work off for their last service call only to be told that they couldn't do the service work at that time but would put me on the schedule first thin... read more

I no longer use Griffith since the price is so high. I have used another company for the past two fill ups. I was randomly auto filled by Griffith and was told I was on the auto fill plan. Which I never have been. I have been trying to close my account and get my 800$ + bill either excused or come get the oil back for the past 2 weeks. I have been given the run around on the phone. Having been a long-time customer of Griffith, I am quite dismayed at the turn the company has taken lately. It took a couple of months before we finally got them to replace our oil tank and 4 months later, we're still waiting for the insurance credit from TankAssure to reach our account. Just recently, on December 19th prior to the cold snap, I called to order oil for our tank. We were at 1/4 a tank and I wanted to get topped up in preparation for the cold.
