I lived at Colonnade Apartments in Southern California. While the apartment itself was acceptable, my experience with Greystar management was deeply unprofessional and legally questionable. Upon move-out, Greystar withheld my entire $400 security deposit and then billed me an additional $225+ for alleged carpet and paint damages. These charges are unjustified. Yes, I live in the San Jose garden apartments and Gray star just took over managing them. They are the worst I've been having a problem with new tenants. Somehow they are escalating water, noises that's so loud. And they leave it running for hours you can't even go in my bathroom are hallway and it never happened until the people downstairs, moved in and the management are not doing a thing about it. This is the worst property management company I've interfaced with. If I could write a 0 star review, I would. When you have a problem, they're impossible to contact. Nobody picks up the phone. Offices are often not staffed when theyre supposed to be. When THEY have a problem, you hear from "them" immediately. Often times, the person writing the note will not actually state who they are and will hide behind "Greystar" as the authoring entity. Horrible management company. Stay away from any properties managed by greystar. They change everything with parking. Do not fix anything. And give the repairs to the lowest bidder with normally the worst attitude. STAY AWAY FROM GREYSTAR.
The Worst Rental Experiences I've Ever Had I would strongly advise anyone considering this apartment complex to look elsewhere. My time here was filled with frustration, poor living conditions, and unethical practices. The unit I was given had obviously been subjected to cheap, poorly executed renovations.
