I attempted to rent a unit at a Greystar building in Encinitas: Solaris Encinitas. On our tour, they showed us a unit, and then later said it was not available to rent because it was for low income after we showed interest in that particular unit. I placed a holding deposit of $500 that they stated was refundable. They then wouldn't accept all of our sources of income and denied us renting the unit. Do NOT waste your time here. I lived at a Gray Star community in San Diego named Ocean Breeze Apartments, 92173…. I had lived here for 5 years and recently moved out. The time I did live here I had maintenance issue after maintenance issue, the building is really old and when you first move in you’re don’t notice the issues. I had 3 water leaks in the same bathroom, each time I had terrible communication, they left their dirty rage and a mess in my bathroom after each job. Terrible property management company. They expect the tenants to pay the rent in a timely manner per the lease agreement. When you move out and you have request the security deposit back they will drag their feet. CA law states they have 21 days to return deposit, but its been over 30 without any deposit being returned. Sad.

AVOID ALL GREYSTAR PROPERTIES!! I live in San Diego 3167 market 2911 Adam's 64 forty apartments Are all connected and no one helps you. I've live here for 7 months and still to this day no one calls you back. They have literally changed over 5 Community Manager carrie, R.J , Christopher , Jade , izzy And have have talk to Matt and Juliet from community support and haven't resolved anything . I regret living here 3167 market there no manager or management on site to help you.

Trying to call them for 3 days, useless phone number and get you to mo where, no wonder why they are have such low google ratings, monopoly the whole market and there is no law in this state to stop them, I am really disappointed and frustrated with the way they manage their properties, property managements are even worst, no one takes any responsibility about what they put in their emails! They are changing their rate every week and every time i want to sign my lease they put a higher rate on the contract
