To give you an idea of how unconscionable Greystar is, I literally bought a house so I'd never risk renting a property from Greystar ever again. You'll think you're safe living in a non-Greystar property. Surprise! They'll buy up your unit and jack up the rent 40%.

I rented from them in 2022. I moved out of the apartment because of a domestic violence gave them the information the apartment was left in excellent condition. I moved out on 17 December. My rent was paid in full the next following year. I got a letter saying that I owe them $4000 for the remainder of the lease and they rented the apartment out the very next month so now I have to take actions to sue them. Do not move there. They are criminals and thieves.

Greystar is not the worst property management company I have had (worst by far is Phillips Real Estate), but it also has quite a few issues. The positive is that they are generally pretty responsive to apartment repairs compared to other places I have lived. There is usually at least some communication. Repairs are generally slower for amenities and sometimes it takes weeks or months to get action for those types of repairs.
