Had to have a chimney rebuild this past summer…estimates for the work all over the place…many promising it can be done in one day! Run from those guys! Jeff looked over the job and gave me a most fair price…never promised me one day job…would rather do it right not fast…took about a week because of some weather issues…his guys were fantastic…I learned there are a couple of ways you can rebuild a chimney but there is only one RIGHT way…they took photos of each step of the rebuild process…Jeff is going to do it the right way f... read more
Jeff showed up on time and was professional and knowledgeable. Despite not requiring his services, Jeff graciously did not accept my offer for an inspection/consultation fee which shows true character. So, while I cannot comment on Grey Oaks workmanship, they are led by a stand-up guy. Should I end up needing his help in the future, I know I can trust Jeff.
I had Grey Oaks out today to clean and inspect my chimney. They were recommended to me by another fireplace company. The price was twice the amount that other companies advertised for, but because they were recommended, I went with them. We have an old 1928 house with a very unusual chimney. We got quotes from several companies, who all commented they had never seen anything quite like it before. The top was starting to crumble, and the fireplace had never been usable since we moved in. We decided to go with Grey Oaks, and I’m so glad we did! Our chimney was rotted on the top and bottom and needed some repairs badly. These guys are a very professional and easy going company to deal with right from the beginning, great communication! Jeremy was reasonable and didn’t try and oversell but at the same time the finished job was top notch. They came on time, did the work efficiently, and left no mess. I would highly recommend them!
