Dr. Iwaasa incorrectly diagnosed an ankle impingement causing foot burning, which he said required surgery. I asked about any further testing to confirm but he said, with the MRI, it was unnecessary. Unfortunately, I trusted him, as he is a very nice congenial person. He suggested that he also do two other surgeries at the same time as the ankle release: bunion and plantar fascia release. Congenial office and very professional. Very satisfied with the visit and the doctor and thankful to have him treat me.
Beware! Dr. Iwaasa chose to proceed with an Evans procedure even though the surgical screws were not available! (I was under anesthesia and not consulted.) Thus, the fallen arch was not repaired and is now more painful than before the procedure. After it became clear that my surgery was not successful, Dr. Iwaasa refused to further discuss my foot, and I was forced to seek assistance from a Podiatrist in Tucson. Dr. Iwaasa’s care was substandard, and I hold him personally responsible for the poor outcome of my surgery.
Dr. Iwassa is a great Podiatrist. He explained everything and fixed my program. I highly recommend him. Thanks
