saw him for well over a year. found him generally unhelpful other than prescribing long term meds. then one day, out of the blue, he decided he had a concern about and would no longer refill a necessary med due to an issue with another patient that was completely unrelated to my situation, and which my cardiologist had approved. was going to stop this med which clearly should not be suddenly stopped. he could not explain his decision on a scientific basis. that was the final straw.
I love Dr helton, it took me years to find a doctor that would actually listen to me and actually cared about me. I would recommend Dr Helton to anyone!
He has been my doctor for years!!! He's amazing and he knows what the course of action was for my mental health care and no one else would even try before him. So in my eyes he is one of the best in the country. Trust me, with ptsd coupled with my years of addiction and now happy to say he got me clean and not struggling in my own head every day! Now its been those years and still clean.Thank you!!
