Dr. Lopez was amazing. He listened to what I was asking. He was attentive and presented me with a pre and post op plan. The surgery went well with no long lasting side effects. If I needed another back surgery, I’d be back to see Dr. Lopez. He made me feel confident and comfortable with my choice.
Having to talk to a surgeon about possible surgery on your spine is a very scary thing. But the people here at RUSH took all of my freight away and help me understand what was going on. They are amazing.
The office staff was friendly and helpful. They were ready to answer all concerns. The NP was very thorough. She listened carefully and maintained eye contact so you knew she was paying close attention. She went over the MRI/X-rays completely and explained each aspect. Dr Lopez is the best. I’m a 63 year old farmer who has beat the hell out of my body. Being from a small town, I sought local orthopedic physicians for help with my back. I tried everything thing shots, PT, etc. I’ve always been afraid of fusion. Mainly because when I’m on the elevator at my local physician, it seems the other in the elevator say the same thing. I had been seen by a few Doctors prior to seeing Dr. Lopez. They indicated that physical therapy might be helpful but I might need surgery. The pain was so bad that I couldn’t even go to the physical therapist. Meanwhile weeks and months went by between appointments and all the while the pain remained. A friend of mine had the same pain and went to Doctor Lopez who successfully cured my friend.
