A rare human being and epitome of what a physician should be. He has trained more cardiologists , no, doctors than can be counted and if only he could live another 100. I still remember the hours he spent holding my mothers (and my) hand as I lay gasping for breath, reassuring us both that I would be ok. I was an unusual and challenging case but he never took an instrument from student, resident or fellow hands but instead placed his hand over theirs to provide guidance reasurrance.
