Been a remote patient of his for around 2 years now, and he's done an excellent job. Responds to emails and phone quickly and helped me find the right medicine for my OCD and Depression. He is a good psychiatrist and great person.
I saw Dr. Berman for a few years upon recommendation from a previous therapist. He’s got a nice office but that’s about it. Although he advertises as a therapist for the LGBT community he didn’t know anything about transgender people when I saw him. He completely screwed up my chances for surgery with poorly written letters, which he wasn’t even able to send in on time —“sorry it must’ve gotten pushed to the bottom of the pile” I believe were the words I got. Dr Berman is reliable and professional.
After calling around 50 psychiatrists to see who was accepting new patients, I finally landed on Dr. Berman. He called me back, we briefly went through my history and medications, and set an appointment six weeks out. I went through the process of insurance and payment setup with his biller, filled out the pre-visit form, and arrived at my appointment, only to be denied service.
