My mother passed away last February of terminal cancer. By that point, my mother felt that her oncologist had abandoned her, and every stay at the hospital was stressful and chaotic. In contrast, the care team at Greenwood House Hospice were empathetic, intelligent, down-to-earth, and uncondescending. They explained the death process to us, eased my mother's discomfort, and made all of us feel listened to and supported.
