I want to deposit a cashiers check from BOA here in town and they want to hold funds for 10 business days. Says it’s their bank president’s policy. I think it’s a horrible way to treat a customer of 10+ years. I will look for another credit union today.

Be honest about how nearly IMPOSSIBLE it is to earn higher interest on the Heritage Advantage Checking Account. The debit/credit signature requirements are a mysterious process. So disappointed that it's not at all what we were told at our local branch office when we signed up for this account. Long, long-time members, we are about to leave this institution.
When I opened my account I was told that there were no service fees. I went by today to find out my account had been closed. They started charging a monthly fee until it wiped out all the money in my checking and savings account, and I never got any correspondence from them letting me know.

I have a bank account with these guys. And I ONLY got one because they allowed us a loan. Which is fine. But they consistently screw us over with their mobile banking. Even though I'm writing EVERYTHING DOWN, " pending " transactions make it appear that things have gone through when they actually haven't. I keep getting hit with fees. And they give you NO time to put money into your bank if you over draft. So if you over draft, you're out of luck. Most banks allow at least 24 hours before charging you over draft fees. You can’t make deposits at atms or transfers from your app. Which means you can’t pay your bills on the day they are due(today)and they collect late fees and ruin your credit. No one to talk to or fix it outside of a business hours which do not include Saturdays. All of these things should be told to you before you open a line of credit or a loan.
