Soft polenta with grilled portobello mushrooms, sauteed spring greensand shaved vella mezzo secco and butternut squash gratin. Now that sounds like music to the stomach! The Mediterranean musings at Greens are plentiful. Walk in and tuck into some delicious vegetarian fare as you take in the spectacular panorama of the sea. And when munching on your entrees, watch the boats bob to and fro! Keep in mind, the take-out window is open every day as well.

Elegant and Fun, too! I've now been to Greens twice, and both trips were highly enjoyable. As a vegetarian, I of course appreciate a meat-free menu that strives to be innovative. The food is outstanding, and the menu is so variegated that every mood will be met with satisfaction. The waitstaff is incredibly attentive without being intrusive, and both of my waiters have had the perfect wine recommendations for my meals. In addition to fantastic food and service, the setting is lovely -- the restaurant overlooks the marina. De... read more
World-class Vegetarian I really love the concept and execution of Greens. I think the whole Zen collective vegetarian thing is fun and totally Bay Area. Everything I've had there has been pretty delicious. Nothing has been super ground breaking or cutting edge but it was still inventive, seasonal, and delicious. It's vegetarian, but it's not health food. People often are appalled at the idea of no meat but they should definitely give Greens a try. It's vegetarian but it's satisfying. The location is great and offers some bea... read more
Best Vegetarian Restaurant This is one of my favorite restaurants. The Greens is a fine dining establishment, serving vegetarian cuisine that is divine. The restaurant itself is stunning--it is housed in a converted warehouse with large windows from floor to ceiling, and a spectacular view of the marina and the golden gate bridge.
Vegie Restaurant Greens is a good restaurant for the vegetarian's palate. They have specially prepared vegie dishes and they taste very good. If you're not a vegetarian, this may not be the place for you.
