I have had numerous dishes at this restaurant over a period of years and they have all been delicious. Their head chef, Pericles, does an amazing job composing healthy and delicious meals using organic, whole plant ingredients. I came in yesterday for there “Reversing Diabetes in 28 Days” Event from 5-7 pm. Once I checked in with a gentleman at the counter, I was told to sit at a table of my choosing. I was offered a drink by the man who I checked in with and chose a glass of water. I sat and sat and sat without anyone ever coming to my table again.There were 4 others in the restaurant and two employees. Update: the food gave me diarrhea for almost 4 months. Took a stool test and they said I had parasites from farm animals. So I assume they get their plant food from a farm where animals are. I never been to a farm here in northern VA.
A dear friend recommended this restaurant, and I’m so glad I took her advice. Although I’m not a vegetarian, I’ve always been curious about jackfruit, so I ordered the Jackfruit Barbeque Sandwich, while my friend chose the Organic Fall Paella. Wow!!! The sandwich was amazing—rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying—and the side salad and fries were just as impressive. As a mostly salt and oil free vegan, I really wanted to like this place but it was not good. I ordered takeout and to my surprise they charge a mandatory 20% gratuity fee on all orders and then still ask for a tip on top of that. The total without an additional tip was over $40 for an appetizer and entree. The cauliflower bites were extremely dry and hard. They were way overcooked and I had to pick off the burnt ends.
