We have lived in RiverWalk Apartments for 3 years. It has been nothing but problems since Day 1! We were promised a different Apartment then what we got. We moved in the week of Christmas and our door wouldn't shut, the door nob kept falling out. The outlets were ALL painted over! Huge hole in the new carpet. Then came the problems of leaks.... after asking them to fix the leaks for 2 years it all turned into mold. I live out Ashton Village Apartments! I been out here when it was name Chowan Trace, since this new company (Greenbrier Management) took over this property has gone down hill. I need to speak with someone from the HEAD OFFICE and I’m not sending no EMAILS. How can y’all take someone rent up that’s not signed a lease? The absolutely WORST management company I have ever experienced. Air conditioner has been broken since MAY. Then they only provide ACs for SOME of the rooms you pay for yet you pay for CENTRAL AC. You have to call weekly and still don't get repairs all they provide is BROKEN PROMISES. Then you contact corporate and they don't want to talk to you either. They need to be reported to the BBB. We have lived in this complex for 7 years. Greenbrier took over in January 25. They have neglected to keep the hallways clean, poor maintenance, has recently gone up on rent 500+, requiring us to pay water and trash. What are we renting for? Our daughter has been experiencing a major leak in her ceiling since June 15. The ceiling is peeling and moldy. She has submitted five (5) maintenance requests with Greenbrier but still has no idea when her issues will be repaired. There is wet carpeting and floors both upstairs and downstairs in her unit. She has had to resort to collecting water in 5 gallon buckets which have had to be emptied daily. In addition to the leak, she has a stopped up toilet and sewage is backing up into her bathtub.
