I am a Black woman who made an appointment for a pixie cut with blonde dye. Upon my arrival in the salon, I could tell the owner was a bit dismayed by my presence. I proceeded in her chair to go over the details of my cut. Her first comment was "I got a lot of hair ," ( my hair is about 5inch) and my "hair is too black" for the color that I wanted.
