Very Good Vegetarian Restaurant!! – I saw this place on a show call 190 North and decided to try it. I had the inside out spring rolls, the sweet potato dumpings which was excellent and I had the Galette for the main course. The apple beignets are also very good. The service is good. They also have some meat on the menu for non-vegetarians.

Worth trying, but don't get too excited. – As a vegetarian, I was hoping for more. It was ok - the service was a bit awkward. The space is great as is the wine list. The food was interesting, but not overly impressive. My entree - so unremarkable that I can't recall what it was - looked like ham (obviously it wasn't), which was kind of gross for me. By the end of the meal we had racked up quite a bill for not that much food and not that great of service. I wanted to discover a new great place, but just didn't.

We'll be definitely be back – Vegetarian or not, you've got to try this restaurant. We discovered this restaurant on Citysearch before a recent trip to Chicago. We've eaten at very nice restaurants (mostly non-vegetarian) throughout the country as well as abroad, and our meal last week was one of the best we've ever had anywhere. The food was so incredible that I think non-vegetarians would be satiated easily by the menu choices. They did have a couple of chicken and fish dishes for the meat eaters. The squash entree (a spec... read more

Interesting Combos – The menu at Green Zebra threw me at first. There were combinations on it (like sweet potato dumplings in a light, licorice- like sauce) that I could not imagine tasting good together. But everything was EXCELLENT, and it just goes to show what a good chef is capable of. Don't let the odd combinations deter you from trying something new!

Vegetarian food gets the upscale treatment at this bustling West Town restaurant. – The Scene Chartreuse walls, graceful palm plants and woven mats on tabletops and floor add a note of serenity to this lively, contemporary space. A long banquette hugs the far wall; parallel banquettes, each with two or three tables, angle into the center of the room. Attentive servers help with menu and wine suggestions. The Food The mostly vegetarian menu, built around seasonal ingredients, is divided into three sections, moving from lighte... read more

Green Zebra is fun – Shawn has done it again. Green Zebra offers a completely different dining experience than Spring, yet, it is a wonderfully well done new restaurant. The food id fantastic while the staff makes you feel very much at home. The wine list is modest but has some tremendous wines that are fun and priced right. But, the best part of the evening is the overall fun time you will have experiencing the new creations of Shawn while being surrounded by a fun and unusual crowd of fellow patrons.

incredible food – The presentation of food is excellent and the tastes are exquisite - the idea is to share the small dishes, and all of them that we had were really exquisite. The service was good throughout, the wine and desert list extensive. The prices add up quickly bu the food is unforgettable.

Absolutely wonderful! – I live in Austin, Texas and read about the Green Zebra and knew I had to try it on my next trip to Chicago (I love Chicago!). It was everything I expected and more. The food was incredibly flavorful and well presented, and the service was impeccable. This is the best dining experience I've had in a very long time. I'm vegetarian but my boyfriend is not. I'd recommend this place for both vegetarians and omnivores. We both enjoyed it tremendously.
