Housekeeping was not the best. One night at 9pm there was a lot of banging and doors opening and closing. I thought the noise was from a wedding party. It wasn't a wedding party, it was housekeeping cleaning the room next door. At 9pm - that's strange. For the price I paid, I would not stay there again.

I really enjoyed the stay. I usually don't stay in resorts but this was a weekend I considered a splurge.

I haven't been in a while but when I was there I really liked the casino. I didn't feel crowded the people were mostly friendly and you didn't need a map to get around even though the place was huge.

The resort was fabulous HOWEVER, we had items stolen out of our room. The resort denied any wrong doing on their part. We have stayed at many resorts and have never had this happen before. We even called the resort once we left and let them know that an item we reported missing was found and not stolen. The resorts attorneys sent our attorney a letter denying our request for video tape footage. We were honest and forth coming about what was stolen and were denied any resolution. How GVR has changed! We are snowbirds who used to count this as one of our favorites, but this year it is different. The great Italian, Chinese and Japanese restaurants are gone! Why? So, we went to the buffet! That is different too, in a negative way. The quality of foods and flavor are way down. What ever has happened to the GVR we used to know? I think we will not be back. My family & I usually love coming to GVR, but not anymore. I'm not paying $18+ for my 2 & 5 yr old kids to eat only $3 worth of food. Hopefully they change the policy and have a children's price for 12 and under.
