It is an old building so be prepared for some wonky floors and room layouts the A/C sort of works but they are old small wall units so they try hard. It is also spread out i other locations but we stayed in the main building. Other than that there is a quaint vibe and it has some really nice grounds. The location is great for the area. The restaurant is also good for breakfast anyway, didn’t try it any other time.
Located right in downtown Stowe, this charming historical hotel is true Vermont in its glory. We went now during peak foliage season and they had hot tub and heated pool year-round, fire pits, and a great bar and Grill located inside the service was a little slow when we went on a Wednesday night because it was packed full of people. Location great, but air conditioning auto turn off did not work, maintenance man came to room confirmed did not work and felt best not to use. Temperature was 80 degrees in morning. Toilet Seat hinge broke and lid would fall off if set on. I snapped back in place to use, but did not hold. Nothing was comped or discounted on room rate charged.
