The beach area is kind of dirt-like almost. Doesn’t look like much of a bed of sand. They groom (rake ) it, but, it’s just not very appealing. It looks hard; and the “beach” was packed like sardines when we went to hike there this summer. But the trails and the lake are awesome!
Nice park ,all new york parks are very nice.wstch your feet on that beach nails nails and more nails,I metal detect there and gave the police a bag of nails and pins as well ,I was told by the police and a local 😀 gentleman that the park has bom fires 🔥 on the beach with those throw away pallets you see alongside the road at businesses 😀 they should do in a upper field area .not on the beach.just a safety suggestion.
