Sorry for your experience Lea - but it is the same as ours. We tried for 2 years to get issues with the project resolved and finally gave up and hired someone else to fix the mistakes made by Green Island. I also got a call form the owner after posting a review AND asking that my house photos be removed from his sites - he was complaining that it could hurt business. What a joke. And he still uses our photos to advertise!
I thought it would be important to update anyone who found my first review about Green Island Designs to be helpful. In recent news, the owner of this company has gone as far as suing us for defamation of character. If you read my review, you'd agree, there is no attack on his character, but instead a list of straight facts that obviously are of concern to not just us, but to the owner himself. We hired Green Island Design to execute a gunite pool project in March 2021 and they not only failed to honor the contract, they failed to deliver and complete the project. The pool is deemed as highly dangerous and deadly by a professional third party engineer who specializes in this field. We are still owed approximately 24K in material as per the contract. I'm disappointed to report my poor experience with this firm. Specifically with their office manager, Debra. I more than appreciate qualifying opportunities. In fact as a home owner - I was excited to share. I gave her all my specs via email a week ago and then again today on the phone. I openly volunteered my top line budget. Their work looks very creative and innovative based on their Website, Facebook and YouTube posts. Very impressive.
